The Senior Associate – Crypto Accounting will play a critical role in managing and improving the clients accounting processes related to digital assets. This position involves working closely with the clients to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and implementation of best practices in crypto accounting
• Manage the Accounts Payable (AP) process, including vendor invoice accounting, payment processing, and vendor aging analysis.
• Manage the Accounts Receivable (AR) process, including customer invoice generation, revenue recognition, collections follow-up, and receivable aging analysis.
• Process payroll, prepare payroll-related journal entries, and reconcile payroll accounts.
• Manage the fixed asset accounting process, including asset capitalization, depreciation, disposals, transfers, maintenance of the fixed asset register, and periodic reconciliations.
• Reconcile digital asset balances in crypto subledger systems with blockchain explorers, exchanges and other custodial platforms.
• Analyze blockchain transactions and categorize them in the crypto sub-ledger by applying the appropriate accounting treatment for various digital asset activities, including purchases,
sales, transfers, staking, mining, airdrops, swaps, bridge transactions, and DeFi protocols.
• Ensure the accuracy of cost basis tracking, and realized and unrealized gain/loss calculations in accordance with applicable accounting policies.
• Sync journal entries from the crypto sub-ledger to the general ledger and perform periodic reconciliations to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial records.
• Assist in month-end close and financial reporting processes and prepare monthly / quarterly P&L, BS, Cash Flows.
• Regular client interactions and collaborate with client’s external auditor during audit and provide necessary documentation & explanations
• CMA Qualified/CA – Inter/CMA – Inter
• 2 – 5 years of strong experience in Accounting/Audit
• Working Knowledge of US GAAP/Ind AS/GAAP
• Strong MS – Excel skills
• Experience with accounting softwares such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting platforms will be an advantage
• Exposure to crypto accounting and financial reporting.
